Lady Antebellum has another chart-topper to their credit. The group's latest single, "Need You Now," has hit number one on the Billboard chart as well as the Mediabase/Country Airchecks list. The song is also a chart-topper north of the border, and currently logging its sixth week leading up the Billboard Canada Country chart, as well as the number one song on the all-genre iTunes digital singles chart. Lady A's Hillary Scott says she and her band mates "really couldn't be more proud," noting that as songwriters, quote, "we are just putting our stories and emotions in these songs and to know that other people have these same feelings is so amazing and wonderful and validating...not just on an artistic level, but also on a human level." She adds, quote, "We feel so much love from the country music community and other artists and country radio and the fans. I get emotional even talking about it now.""Need You Now," the lead-off single to Lady A's next album, is the second consecutive number one hit for the group, following "I Run To You." It also follows the trio's big night at the 43rd annual Country Music Association Awards ceremony last week. At the event Lady Antebellum was named the CMA Vocal Group of the Year, while "I Run To You" got the nod for Single of the Year. "Need You Now" is the title track from Lady A's sophomore CD, which is due in stores January 26th.
