Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish have a social engagement to keep next month. The 63-year-old rocker admitted to Canada's CTV Tuesday that he and Furnish are invited to the nuptials between England's Prince William and Kate Middleton. John initially denied being on the guest list during his CTV interview, but later confirmed that he and Furnish received an invitation to the V.I.P. event and that they intend to participate. The music legend added that he had wanted to keep his plans under wraps because he was, quote, "trying to be discreet."
Earlier this year, John said publicly he didn't expect to go to the wedding, which is scheduled for April 29th at Westminster Abbey. The rocker said that while he was a close friend with the groom-to-be's mother, the late Princess Diana, he wasn't ever close with her two sons.
