Reba Appreciates Hall Of Fame Honor, Support Following Dad's Stroke

Reba McEntire is expressing her gratitude for the kindness her friends and fans have shown her in the wake of her father's stroke. The singer says in an audio message on her website that he isn't doing well, but she has reasons to remain hopeful. Clark McEntire suffered a stroke several days ago -- before Reba learned she was being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. However, the singer says she was able to share the news with him before his condition deteriorated and he slipped into a coma. Reba adds that while her attention is focused on her family right now, it doesn't detract from how much it means to her to receive such a special honor from the country music community.
