"Today" And "GMA" To Air Charlie Sheen Interviews

Charlie Sheen is reportedly demanding an apology from CBS and "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre. In a Twitter message posted Sunday, "Today" show producer Jim Bell said Sheen's apology demands came in the midst of an interview NBC conducted with the actor at his home on Sunday afternoon. The interview will air on today's edition of the NBC morning show, competing with excerpts from ABC's sit-down with the "Two and a Half Men" star, also scheduled to air today. The ABC interview is part of a bigger piece that aims to shed light on the troubled actor in a "20/20" primetime special scheduled to air on Tuesday night.

The flurry of Sheen interviews follows CBS' decision to pull the plug on the actor's sitcom for the remainder of the TV season. The decision followed Sheen's scathing rant against the network's bosses and sitcom creator Chuck Lorre on a nationally syndicated radio program last Thursday. A repeat episode of "Two and a Half Men" airs tonight on CBS.
