Survey Says : RONALD REAGAN MOST INFLUENTIAL PRESIDENT OF PAST 50 YEARS

Ronald Reagan has made a lasting impression on society. The nation's 40th president is topping a new Rasmussen Reports list of the most influential president of the last 50 years, earning support from 37-percent. Reagan led the nation for most of the 1980s, officially taking office in 1981 and serving two consecutive four-year terms. President John F. Kennedy follows in a rather distant second place with 21-percent of the vote. He's edging out President Bill Clinton, who's getting a nod from 19-percent. Another gap separates third and fourth place, which goes to President George W. Bush with five-percent of the vote. President Lyndon B. Johnson rounds out the top five. Current President Barack Obama wasn't an option because his tenure as president hasn't ended yet.
