Steve Martin Releasing Second Bluegrass CD Next Month

(Undated) -- Steve Martin is getting ready to release another bluegrass CD. CMT.com says the star, who's best known as an actor and comedian, will have "Rare Bird Alert" in stores on March 15th. Martin has tapped banjo player Tony Trischka to produce the project, which features guest appearances from The Dixie Chicks and Paul McCartney. The Steep Canyon Rangers are serving as Martin's backing band The 13-track collection includes 12 new songs and a live rendition of Martin's 1978 novelty hit "King Tut."

Martin saw success with his first bluegrass project. His 2009 release "The Crow: New Songs for the 5-String Banjo" won the GRAMMY for Best Bluegrass Album.
