Several Country Stars Earning New Gold, Platinum Certifications

A number of country stars are celebrating new sales milestones. Jason Aldean and Sugarland both had new Platinum certifications to their credit. Aldean has reached the one-million mark in U.S. sales with his latest CD "My Kinda Party," while the one-million-plus in sales for Sugarland's "The Incredible Machine" now brings the duo's career album sales total to more than nine-million. Carrie Underwood is also posting some impressive career figures. "Play On" is now a double-Platinum disc, and between her three CDs Underwood has sold more than 12-million albums. Keith Urban's "Get Closer" and Tim McGraw's "Number One Hits" are each getting Gold certifications for sales of 500-thousand units. On the digital front, Lady Antebellum's "American Honey," Taylor Swift's "Mine," Carrie Underwood's "Undo It," and Miranda Lambert's "The House That Built Me" have each logged at least one-million downloads to qualify for Platinum certifications. Meanwhile Kenny Chesney's hit "Somewhere With You" and Jason Aldean's single "My Kinda Party" have gone Gold.
