Report: CBS Reporter Vowing To Return To Work After Brutal Attack

Friends of CBS reporter Lara Logan says the veteran foreign correspondent will not let what happened to her in Egypt keep her down. TMZ.com quotes sources who say Logan is "unbelievably strong" and is vowing to go back to work within weeks. CBS released a statement this week saying the South African-born reporter was recovering after a "brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating." The attack took place last Friday after Logan became separated from her crew while covering the jubilation in Cairo's Tahrir Square following the resignation of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ that Logan, a mother of two, has, quote, "an incredibly tough constitution" and is speaking candidly about what happened to her. One friend added, quote, "She is going to be OK."
