NFL Scouting Combine Starts Today

(Indianapolis, IN) -- The NFL Scouting Combine begins today at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Throughout the six-day event, over 300 NFL ready prospects will show off their skills in drills such as the 40-yard dash, bench press, and vertical jump. Participating in the Combine are Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton and fellow quarterback Blanie Gabbert out of Missouri. Both of whom are considered to be top-10 selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, which starts on Thursday, April 28th. Also taking part in Indy are defensive linemen Nick Fairley, who was a teammate of Newton at Auburn, Da'Quan Bowers of Clemson, and Alabama's Marcell Dareus. All three have been regarded as top picks by NFL Draft experts.
