Martina McBride, Brad Paisley Participating In Daytona 500

Martina McBride will be joining Brad Paisley at this weekend's Daytona 500. She's been tapped to sing the national anthem to start "The Great American Race." Martina says she always considers it "a great honor" to be invited to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner," adding, quote, "I've had the pleasure of singing it at so many prestigious events and now I get to add the historic Daytona 500 to that list. You can't get any more all-American than NASCAR and country music so I'm looking forward to seeing so many of our mutual fans at this impressive event." Just a few weeks ago Martina sang the national anthem at the NFL playoff game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Jets. Brad Paisley is also participating in the pre-race festivities. He's slated to play a three-song set before the engines begin to roar. But Brad will be taking a spin around the track as well. He's on board as the event's official pace car driver, and will handle the task behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Camaro SS. Daytona Beach, Florida's Daytona International Speedway will host the 53rd annual Daytona 500 on Sunday. Fox will carry the race live, beginning the pre-race coverage at noon Eastern.
