Man Falls Off Boat While Attending Burial At Sea

(Riviera Beach, FL) -- A sad story almost turned into an even bigger tragedy when a man fell off of a boat while helping to spread the ashes of a loved one at sea. WPTV reports that four friends hired a boat to sail off the coast of North Palm Beach to spread the ashes of one of their wives when Bud Jones fell overboard. He wasn't wearing a life-jacket and had swallowed some water but was quickly pulled back on the boat. The boat operator was able to help and Jones was taken to a hospital a short time later when the Coast Guard arrived. Jones is expected to recover.
