Man Drops Engagement Ring Into Sewer

A Colorado man's romantic Valentine's Day plans literally went down the drain. John Iverson tells 9News that he had just asked his girlfriend to marry him when he dropped the ring into a Denver sewer. Fortunately, not only did Iverson's girlfriend say yes, but the Denver Fire Department was able to retrieve the ring after a 45-minute search. Iverson says he was never that worried about losing the ring, stating, quote, "I was overjoyed by the fact that she said yes, so the fact that the ring went in there -- I was upset, but I was still happy."
