Kellie Pickler Shares Her Eloping Story

Kellie Pickler's doing the whole wedding thing backwards. The country star was surprised during her appearance Wednesday on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," when Ellen threw her a quick, 80-second bachelorette party -- complete with three hunky, shirtless dancers. Kellie and her husband Kyle Jacobs tied the knot last month with a spontaneous New Year's Day wedding. The singer says they were planning a more traditional ceremony, but confesses, quote, "Every time we got to the guest list, it was like, 'Oh my God, I hate half these people,' you know?," trailing off as she adds, "Nothing personal, but..." Pickler explains that they eventually decided to scrap the plans they had, pack up her dress and some clothes for him, and just head out by themselves to Jumby Bay, off the coast of Antigua. She admits it was an act of faith, as they put the whole trip -- including their wedding -- in God's hands, and, quote, "it was the most incredible day of my life."

Kellie adds that she came up with a way to keep that ring on her man's finger. She explains that along with their wedding date, she had the phrase "Put it back on!" inscribed on the band to remind him of where she always wants the ring to be.
