Gary Allan Makes Strong Concert Comeback At San Antonio Rodeo

Gary Allan is back. The country star made his return to the concert stage with a performance at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Monday night. MySanAntonio.com says the singer played a rocking set at the AT&T center, entertaining roughly 16-thousand fans. He reportedly came on strong with a set that included such hits as "Right Where I Need To Be," "A Feelin' Like That," "Man to Man," and "Smoke Rings in the Dark," while the energized crowd showed its appreciation -- and approval -- quote, "in a deafening manner."

The San Antonio Rodeo was Allan's first concert following vocal cord surgery. He underwent the procedure in late November to have a polyp removed. Following a lengthy stretch of doctor-prescribed vocal rest, Allan went through vocal therapy to rebuild his strength and endurance. Just last week Allan held rehearsals for his slate of winter dates, in part to make sure he was ready to deliver a full 90-minute concert. Gary now has a little time off before his next shows. He'll be performing in Thackerville, Oklahoma on Friday and in Kinder, Louisiana on Saturday.
