Easton Corbin Reacts To His Three ACM Nominations

The accolades are mounting for Easton Corbin. He's a contender in three ACM categories -- the previously announced Top New Solo Vocalist as well as Single and Song of the Year for his number one hit, "A Little More Country Than That." Corbin found out about the Single and Song honors Tuesday while driving to Music Row to listen to songs for his second album. He says of the honor, quote, "The Academy of Country Music Awards are iconic because they are such an institution. I've watched the ACMs since I was a kid." Being recognized by the ACMs, Easton notes, quote, "The nominations are confirmation from the people that you work with, and also the fans, because the New Artist category is fan-voted." The 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will be announced in a ceremony from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on April 3rd at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.

Rory Feek, Don Poythress and Wynn Varble, the writers of "A Little More Country Than That," are contenders in the ACM Song of the Year category. Rory, one half of Joey+Rory, is also nominated along with his wife Joey, in the Top Vocal Duo category.

Voting is underway in the Top New Solo Vocalist category at www.VoteACM.com through February 24th. Easton is up against Eric Church and Randy Houser for the award.
