Derek Hough Not Competing On This Season Of "DWTS"

ABC's hit reality competition "Dancing With the Stars" will be down a dancing partner next season. E! News is reporting that Derek Hough won't be competing on the upcoming installment. Hough, who has emerged victorious in three seasons, will be taking time off to shoot his feature-film debut, "Cobu 3D." "Dancing's" executive producer, Conrad Green, says they're completely behind Hough, remarking, quote, "We wish Derek the best as he takes time off from 'Dancing With the Stars' to pursue his film career and look forward to having him return to the show in the fall." The 12th season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" is slated to begin in March.
