Alan Jackson To Be Inducted Into Star Trail Of Fame

(Undated) -- When Alan Jackson performs at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo next month, it'll be noteworthy for a couple of reasons. The country superstar will be inducted into the Show's Star Trail of Fame. In addition, Alan will become only the fifth entertainer to have played in front of one-million fans at the rodeo, joining Brooks & Dunn, Reba, Charley Pride, and George Strait in this achievement. Jackson says of the honor, quote, "I've played for the rodeo fans in Houston a lot over the years, and I always look forward to it. I know there's always a whole of people out there when I walk out on that stage, but I never imagined they'd added up to a million!" Alan made his first RodeoHouston appearance in 1992. His performance on March 18th will be his 19th time at the event.

Jackson's 2011 tour is underway. He's currently in Canada, and will be performing in Kingston, Ontario tonight before bringing his tour stateside to Thackerville, Oklahoma on February 11th. In March he'll travel to Australia to entertain audiences for the first time "Down Under." Miranda Lambert will be the opening act.
