Underwood, "Country Strong" Song Among This Weekend's Golden Globe Nominees

Carrie Underwood could add a totally new award to her collection of honors. She's in the running for her first Golden Globe Award at this weekend's event. The singer has a nomination for Best Original Song - Motion Picture with "There's A Place For Us," which she wrote with Hillary Lindsey and David Hodges for the movie "Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader." The "Narnia" track is one of two nominations for Hillary. She has a second bid for Best Original Song with "Coming Home," which she penned with Bob DiPiero, Tom Douglas, and Troy Verges for the movie "Country Strong." Other tracks in the category include "Bound To You" and "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me," which are both from "Burlesque," and "I See The Light," from "Tangled."

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association will present the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards in a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday. The event will air live across the country on NBC at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, 5:00 p.m. Pacific.
