Teen Suing Golf Course After Being Hit By Own Golf Ball

An Oregon teen is seeking millions of dollars after injuring himself with a poor golf shot. Alex Good was practicing at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club on a rainy day last April when his shot struck the pole of an awning and ricocheted into his eye. The 15-year-old has been forced to undergo several surgeries, and his attorney says he may have lifelong vision problems. Good, who is suing for three-million-dollars, says the golf course should have known that placing a metal pole near the driving range was dangerous. Attorney Geordie Duckler is not working on the case, but tells KATU.com that Good's legal team will have a difficult time proving their case. He explains that if a golfer sees, quote, "a known and obvious danger and yet they go ahead and strike the ball anyway, then they've assumed the risk."
