Serial Shoplifter Arrested 45 Times

(Albuquerque, NM) -- Some people learn things the hard way. It appears a New Mexico man is one of them, considering he's been arrested for the same crime 45 different times. KOAT-TV reports that Oliver Martinez was busted again for shoplifting on top of the 44 other times he has been in trouble for the same offense. It's not exactly clear how many times he's been convicted of the crimes, but his most recent bust was last week when he allegedly tried to sell some stolen tools. Police say he stole the items from a Lowe's and then tried to sell them to undercover cops. Many of his arrests have been in Albuquerque but others have occurred in other jurisdictions.
