Pinata Leads To Costco Lock Down

Shoppers at a Colorado Costco were hardly in the mood to party when a pinata made an appearance in the parking lot earlier this week. On Monday afternoon, a shopper called police to report that a partially burned package with wires exposed was in the store's parking lot. The Boulder County Bomb Squad responded, forcing Costco to lock its doors and prevent customers from leaving. The "Boulder Daily Camera" says a robot was used to investigate the package, at which point authorities realized they were actually dealing with a pinata. The scene was eventually cleared and Costco was allowed to reopen.
