Pilot Suspended For Using Police Helicopter To Run Errand

(Tampa, FL) -- A Florida helicopter pilot is off the job after accusations he used his police chopper for a personal errand. Dave Dennison has spent more than a decade with the police department in Tampa and has been their chopper pilot since 2002. However, an investigation provided proof that he flew the chopper to the St. Petersburg airport to bring a fishing net to a friend. Dennison admitted it during a hearing and also apologized. He was suspended for a week.
