"The People" Share The Wealth At People's Choice Awards

It looks like the "people" like a mixed bag when it comes to entertainment. Veterans like Adam Sandler and Conan O'Brien shared the spotlight with the likes of 18-year-old Selena Gomez and "High School Musical" graduate Zac Efron at the 37th Annual People's Choice Awards. Sandler scored the Favorite Comedic Actor honor, and also took an award for his film "Grown Ups." O'Brien received recognition for his post-"Tonight Show" comeback, winning Favorite Talk Show Host. Gomez and her band The Scene performed at the event, and captured the nod for Favorite Breakout Artist. Efron was visibly moved as he accepted the award for Favorite Movie Star Under 25.

The night's most-nominated project, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," didn't go unnoticed by the people, who gave the third film in the teenage vampire franchise three awards. On the small screen, the hit Fox shows "House" and "Glee" took multiple categories while CBS' "Hawaii Five-O" and "$...! [[BLEEP]] My Dad Says" earned new show honors. Taylor Swift and Katy Perry were among the music winners. Queen Latifah served as host the first major awards show of 2011. The 37th Annual People's Choice Awards aired live on CBS from Los Angeles' Nokia Theater Wednesday night.
