MGM: James Bond To Return To Theaters Next Year

Bond is back. MGM says plans to resume production on the next James Bond film are back on track with Daniel Craig returning as the British secret agent, and Oscar winning director Sam Mendes guiding the action. Production is set to begin later this year. It will be the 23rd film in the longrunning James Bond film franchise. The announcement comes as MGM emerges from bankruptcy. The movie house was forced to put the film on hold while getting its financial house in order. There's still no word on the movie's title or plot, though MGM is eyeing a November 2012 release date. The date will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the release of the 1962 Bond film "Dr. No."
