iTunes Winner Hung Up Phone When Apple Exec Called

(Undated) -- A British woman hung up the phone when an Apple executive called to notify her that she had won a ten-thousand-dollar iTunes gift card for downloading the company's ten-billionth app. Gail Davis told the website CultOfMac.com she thought the call was a prank. She tried to call Apple back when her teenage daughters, who had downloaded the winning app, assured her the call was real. Then a colleague of Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of iTunes, made another call to the Davis home a few hours later about the iTunes gift card prize.
