Gwyneth Paltrow Draws On Faith Hill For "Country Strong" Character

(Undated) -- Gwyneth Paltrow might play Tim McGraw's wife on the big screen, but she says she tapped his real-life spouse for assistance in developing her character in the movie "Country Strong." The actress notes Faith Hill was quite generous in working with her, and gave her a lot of useful information. Paltrow admits that she modeled the fictional Kelly Canter, in part, on Hill. She explains that she watched a lot of video footage of Faith as she did her research, noting that she and Hill have similar physiques. But when it came to Kelly's personality Paltrow says she also drew inspiration from another famous singer, adding, quote, "If you sort of did a hybrid of Faith and Courtney Love, that's kind of like who I am in this movie." "Country Strong" will open in theaters nationwide on January 7th.
