Nashville’s WSMV.com reports country legend George Jones was hospitalized yesterday. According to his daughter, George was resting Wednesday night at a Nashville hospital. The TV station says doctors ran some tests this week on the 79-year-old singer, looking for possible blockage in his heart. He was prescribed medication, but no further procedures were needed. So why the overnight stay?
“I just decided I didn’t want to drive back to Franklin in this cold weather,” George joked to AOL’s The Boot. “So I guess I’ll stay here overnight and go home tomorrow.”
