CNN's John Roberts Joins Fox News

(Undated) -- CNN viewers will soon see a familiar face on a rival network. Former CBS News and recent CNN anchor John Roberts is joining Fox News. Company spokesman Michael Clemente says Roberts will be the senior national correspondent for the top-rated cable channel. Roberts had been co-anchor of CNN's American Morning from 2007 until last month when CNN announced a change in its morning team. Prior to joining CNN in 2006, Roberts worked for 14 years at CBS News. He was considered the heir apparent to replace Dan Rather as lead anchor when Rather retired.
