Christina Aguilera To Perform National Anthem At Super Bowl

Christina Aguilera is Super Bowl bound. The NFL has officially announced the Grammy winner as the voice behind the national anthem for this year's championship showdown between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers. Aguilera calls her Super Bowl assignment a "dream come true." She says she's had plenty of practice performing the national anthem, having done so since she was seven years old. The singer, who made her movie debut in the film "Burlesque" last December, previously participated in the Super Bowl as a halftime performer in 2000. The Black Eyed Peas will serve up the entertainment for this year's halftime show in Dallas, Texas. Fox will televise the game live on February 6th.

The Super Bowl is the most-watched event on U.S. television each year and is a broadcast haven for advertisers. Last year's game drew more than 153 million viewers.
