"American Idol" Returns For Second Week

Fox's hit singing competition "American Idol" kicks off the second week of its tenth season tonight. "Idol" will look to right the ship this week after a somewhat tough premiere. While the show continues to be one of the most watched telecasts in all of TV, "Idol" has experienced a continued drop in ratings. Last Wednesday's season premiere was watched by 26-point-one-million people, which is a 13-percent decrease from last season's debut episode. "Idol" continued to fail to meet last season's numbers during last Thursday's episode, as just 22-point-nine-million viewers tuned in.

"American Idol" made an overhaul to its cast following last season, as judges Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi exited the show. They were replaced by Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and pop diva Jennifer Lopez, who join the show's lone holdovers, Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson. "American Idol" will be making its first ever stop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin tonight as the audition round continues. Tune in to Fox tonight at 8:00 p.m. Eastern for an all-new episode of "American Idol."
