Small Wisconsin Community Loses Its Time Capsule
(Kimberly, WI) -- Officials in Kimberly, Wisconsin, want to commemorate their community's 100th anniversary by digging up a time capsule that was buried 25 years ago. However, there's a problem. The "Appleton Post-Crescent" newspaper says the time capsule seems to be lost. The capsule contains coins, newspaper clippings and a bottle of New Coke from 1985. It was put in the ground near Kimberly's municipal building. Officials speculate the time capsule was dug up and moved when the municipal complex was remodeled in 1997, but they don't know exactly where that underground location might be. They're now hoping to locate the capsule by using a metal detector.
