The last days of 2010 are reveling in celebrity engagements. Add Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon to that list. A rep for the "Walk The Line" and "Legally Blonde" star says Witherspoon is engaged to Hollywood agent Jim Toth after almost a year of dating. "Us Weekly" magazine quotes the rep who says the couple is "extremely happy." Witherspoon began dating Toth in January shortly after ending her three-year relationship with actor Jake Gyllenhaal. She was previously married to actor Ryan Phillippe with whom she has two children. Witherspoon stars in the current box office comedy "How Do You Know."
News of Witherspoon's engagement follows similar announcements in recent days from celebrities such as "Black Swan" actress Natalie Portman who announced on Monday that she is engaged and pregnant. Country singer LeAnn Rimes and actor Eddie Cibrian also got engaged over the Christmas holiday. Singer Jason Mraz, actress Ginnifer Goodwin and "Playboy" magazine founder Hugh Hefner are also among the celebrities who have made their plans for marriage known in recent days.
