Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox admits he and band mates Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus still have a hard time comprehending everything they've accomplished so far. But he tells TheBoot.com they have a couple of goals in mind as they begin their second decade together. The singer says that in 2020, when the trio is looking back on what they've achieved in their second decade, quote, "I hope we're talking about how we've won a few GRAMMYs, we've won Entertainer of the Year a few times." While Rascal Flatts has earned numerous Vocal Group honors from both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music, the top prize has eluded them.
Rascal Flatts has had a total of five Entertainer of the Year nominations, two from the CMA and three from the ACM, but every time the group lost to Kenny Chesney. Rascal Flatts also has several GRAMMY nominations to their credit, but they have yet to log a win. However, Rascal Flatts' hit "Bless The Broken Road" did receive a Song of the Year GRAMMY for writers Marcus Hummon, Bobby Boyd, and Jeff Hanna.
