Neal McCoy plans to help make Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton's wedding special. The singer tells "Country Weekly" magazine he's agreed to perform at their reception. He says he got the invitation earlier this year, after he and Shelton shared the bill in Oregon. McCoy recalls Blake and Miranda, quote, "pulled up chairs on the side of the stage in Oregon and watched my show, and they were kind of blown away by the spontaneity and goofiness of my show I guess, and so they asked me to play their wedding reception." He adds that the couple even offered to compensate him for his services, but he refused. McCoy notes, quote, "I told them, 'Of course you don't have to pay me, that'll be an honor, and I'm sure it'll be a who's who kind of thing."
McCoy adds that he likes Shelton, and considers him a good friend. He says Blake's "goofy" and "funny," and, quote, "he just says what he says, you know." Shelton and Lambert haven't officially announced a wedding date yet. However, Shelton recently indicated that plans were under way for a May event.
