Blockbuster Plans To Close Over 180 Stores
Blockbuster plans to shut down 182 stores by April of next year. The video rental chain filed for bankruptcy in September after facing debt and rising competition from Netflix and Redbox. Blockbuster hopes to emerge from bankruptcy by the second quarter of 2011. Blockbuster has closed hundreds of stores over the past few years in an effort to control costs.
