Adam Sandler Victim of Rumors

Despite a vicious rumor making the rounds on the Internet, actor/comedian Adam Sandler is alive and well. An online story reported the actor had died in a snowboarding accident in Switzerland. However, Sandler's own family says he's alive and well in California, despite what the website Global Associated News stated. The website reportedly allows users to type in the name of a person and create a fake story. Similar stories went out recently about actors Charlie Sheen, Eddie Murphy and Owen Wilson. While fine print at the bottom indicates the story is not for real, somehow it spread to Twitter and Facebook, causing Sandler's publicist to discount it all as ugly rumors.
