Unconscious Woman Awakens To Punch EMT

(Mary Esther, FL) -- A Florida woman who allegedly punched an EMT in the chest has been charged with battery on an emergency medical worker. The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office says 25-year-old Lori Cox was unresponsive and unconscious when EMTs arrived at her Mary Esther home on October 24th. When she woke up, Cox told the paramedic at first that she did not need to go to the hospital. After getting inside an ambulance, Cox allegedly grabbed the paramedic's arm and punched him in the chest.
