Sugarland Settles Lawsuit With Former Band Mate

Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush won't be facing off in court after all. "The Atlanta Journal-Constitution" says the duo has reached a settlement with former band mate Kristen Hall. Details on their agreement, which was signed Friday, were not made public, and neither Sugarland nor Hall's lawyers have commented on the matter. Their case was slated to go before a judge in Atlanta today.

Hall, a founding member of Sugarland who left the group in 2005, launched a lawsuit against Nettles and Bush a couple of years ago claiming she played a key role in Sugarland's success. She also said that she, Nettles, and Bush had agreed to continue their business partnership after she left the group, but Nettles and Bush had not been giving her her fair share of Sugarland's profits. Hall added that Nettles and Bush now owed her more than one-point-five-million-dollars. Nettles and Bush denied Hall's claims, and called her legal action, quote, "nothing more than quitter's remorse."
