Son Accused Of Stealing, Eating Mother's Jewelry

A Pennsylvania man is behind bars after he allegedly snacked on some of his mother's jewelry. According to the "Observer-Reporter," Robert Spriggs went to his mother's home last Saturday afternoon and reportedly stole several pieces of jewelry. North Strabane Township police confronted Spriggs about the robbery, at which point he allegedly pulled a ring out of his pocket and put it in his mouth. Officials at Washington County Jail have since recovered three pieces of jewelry, but believe Spriggs may have eaten even more. Lieutenant Dan Levi remarks, quote, "Two tennis bracelets are also missing. We are in a holding pattern." Spriggs has been charged with theft and tampering with evidence. He is due in court for a preliminary hearing on November 23rd.
