Lady Antebellum Looking Back On An Incredible Year

The members of Lady Antebellum say this week's CMA Awards just adds to what's been a banner year for the group. Singer Hillary Scott notes she and her band mates are just amazed at what they've experienced over the past eleven months. Lady Antebellum's 2010 got off to a strong start. They released their sophomore CD, "Need You Now," in late January. The album debuted at number one on the charts, and was certified Platinum within four weeks of its release. It made multiple trips to the top of the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, and remained at number one on the Billboard Country Albums chart for nearly six months. In addition, this year the band has won two GRAMMY Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, a CMT Music Award, and two Teen Choice Awards.

Lady A was a two-time winner at the 44th annual CMA Awards this week, and more honors could still come their way. Lady A is in the running in five categories at the upcoming American Music Awards, taking place later this month, and the trio is a top nominee for the inaugural American Country Awards, which is set for December 6th.
