Kid Rock Giving Detroit-Area Families Something To Be Thankful For

Kid Rock is getting into the holiday spirit. Not only will he perform at halftime during the Detroit Lions' annual Thanksgiving Day football game to kick off a United Way charity drive, but he's also making sure a number of local families in need will have a good meal on turkey day. Rock has purchased 25-thousand-dollars worth of gift cards from a Midwestern grocery store chain which he's donating to families who could use the help. The singer is working with one of the local Detroit television stations and the Volunteers Of America organization to distribute the cards.
