Daryle Singletary is now a dad. The singer and his wife, Holly, are the proud parents of twin sons. The boys entered the world a few weeks earlier than expected. While they were due this week, the babies arrived in Nashville just after 4:00 p.m. on October 27th. Singletary says everyone is happy and healthy following the delivery, noting one son tipped the scales at four-pounds, 14-point-five-ounces and his other boy weighed in at four-pounds, four-ounces.
The Singletarys are calling their sons Mercer Ellis and Jonah Michael. Daryle explains the names, noting Mercer and Michael stem from Holly's family, Ellis was the name of Daryle's great grandfather, and Jonah is just a name both he and Holly like. Daryle adds that becoming a father, quote, "is the most unbelievable feeling in the world that I have ever experienced." He also admits, quote, "They've both already got Mama and Daddy wrapped!" Daryle and Holly have been married for eight years. Mercer and Jonah are their first children.
