Dogtoberfest Sets New Guinness Record

Several hundred dog owners in Florida have managed to dress their pets into the Guinness Book of World Records. According to TampaBay.com, last Saturday's Dogtoberfest set a new world record for most dogs in costume. The event -- which took place at Dunedin's Highlander Park -- featured 426 dogs in unique outfits. Dogtoberfest nearly doubled the previous record of 218 dogs, which had been set in England. Dog owner Lisa Gaboury says she was proud to be involved in Dogtoberfest, stating, quote, "It was great to be a part of the cool event."
