Country Stars Vying For Billboard Awards For Tours, Promotions

Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, and Taylor Swift could all earn recognition for their road work. They're among the nominees for the 2010 Billboard Touring Awards. Paisley, McGraw, and Swift are in the running for Top Package. Paisley's "H2O Tour" also featured Darius Rucker and Justin Moore as main stage openers, while Easton Corbin, Josh Thompson, and Steel Magnolia performed on the trek's Water World Plaza stage. Shows on McGraw's "Southern Voice" tour also included sets from Lady Antebellum, Love And Theft, and the Lost Trailers. Swift brought Kellie Pickler and Gloriana with her on her "Fearless 2010 Tour."

Zac Brown Band could also be a winner. The event honors the best promotions as well, and the country group is a nominee for their "Letters For Lyrics" campaign with Ram Trucks. The initiative encourages fans to submit notes and messages of support to U.S. troops to help bolster morale. More than 327-thousand letters have been contributed since "Letters For Lyrics" launched back in May, with the goal of collecting and delivering one-million letters. The 2010 Billboard Touring Awards will be presented in a ceremony in New York Thursday night. The event caps off the two-day Billboard 7th annual Touring Conference and Awards.
