Charlie Sheen Files For Divorce

Charlie Sheen is closing another marital chapter. The "Two and a Half Men" TV star filed for divorce Monday to end his two-year marriage to his third wife, real estate investor Brooke Mueller. According to court documents obtained by TMZ.com, Sheen cited "irreconcilable differences" as reason for the divorce. The two have 19-month-old twin sons together. Sheen and Mueller have been living apart since December 2009 when the actor was arrested for pulling a knife on Mueller during an argument on Christmas Day 2009. He pled guilty to assault in August and was ordered to serve 30 days in rehabilitation and given three months probation,

Sheen was hospitalized in New York last week after police reported finding him incoherent at the Plaza Hotel. A woman, later identified as a porn actress, was discovered hiding in a the bathroom of Sheen's hotel room which was reportedly trashed. Sheen's publicist later said that the actor had suffered an adverse reaction to medication. No arrests were made and Sheen returned home to Los Angeles after a brief stay in the hospital. Sheen is expected to resume work on his CBS sitcom today.
