Sunday night's American Music Awards set an unfortunate record in the show's storied history. According to "The Hollywood Reporter," the ceremony was the lowest-rated AMA broadcast of all time. The show was watched by approximately eleven-point-six-million viewers, and drew a four-point-three rating among adults 18 to 49. Those figures are down about 22 percent from 2009. The news wasn't all bad for ABC, however, as the ratings for this year's American Music Awards were up 12 percent among teens, and 19 percent among kids two to eleven.
Teen pop superstar Justin Bieber was the big winner during Sunday's American Music Awards. The 16-year-old won a total of four awards, including the evening's biggest prize Artist of the Year. R&B star Usher and rapper Eminem also won multiple awards.
