Taylor Swift Headlining Tonight's NFL Kickoff Concert

Taylor Swift is set to launch the 2010-2011 football season. The singer is headlining the annual "NFL Opening Kickoff" event, which will also feature the Dave Matthews Band. They'll be featured in an hour-long pre-game event in advance of the New Orleans Saints-Minnesota Vikings game, which will mark the start of the new football season. As last season's Super Bowl winner, the Saints are hosting the big game at the Superdome. The pre-game party featuring Swift and the Dave Matthews Band will originate from New Orleans' Jackson Square. The "NFL Opening Kickoff 2010 Presented by EA Sports" will air live across all time zones on NBC starting at 8:30 p.m. Eastern.
This is the ninth consecutive year the NFL has kicked off its new season with a kickoff concert event, and country stars have been a part of the celebration since 2004, when Toby Keith performed. Over the years Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill and Keith Urban have also lent their talents to the football celebration. Tim McGraw was a featured artist at last year's event.
