Taylor Swift Getting High School Auditorium Named After Her
Taylor Swift is getting recognized by her old high school. Tennessee's "The Henderson Star News" reports that the Sumner County Board of Education voted last week to rename the auditorium at Henderson High School in honor of the school's famous former student. The decision to dub the area "Taylor Swift Auditorium" received unanimous approval. Henderson High's Principal Joni Worsham initiated the effort. Noting Swift has supported the school in the past with charitable donations, she says it's, quote, "an honor befitting her generous spirit." The school is in the process of installing a state-of-the-art lighting and sound system in the auditorium, which Swift has paid for. Swift attended Henderson High for her freshman and sophomore years of school. She completed her high school education through a special program that allowed her to pursue her music career.
