Max Weinberg, Conan O'Brien Parting Ways

Conan O'Brien will be without one of his longtime sidekicks when he debuts his new late-night show in November. During an interview with "The Riverfront Times," O'Brien's guitarist and keyboardist Jimmy Vivino revealed that he will be taking over as band leader for Max Weinberg. Vivino explains that Weinberg's time will be occupied on the east coast by his band, noting that Conan O'Brien's new show will be taped in Los Angeles. Weinberg will also continue his other gig as a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band.

Max Weinberg was the leader of the Max Weinberg 7 on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" from 1993 to 2009. He continued the role during Conan O'Brien's eight-month run as host of "The Tonight Show." Conan O'Brien's new show, "Conan," will debut on TBS Monday, November 8th.
