Little Big Town got a double dose of good news this week. Their fourth studio album, "The Reason Why" debuted at the top of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and number five on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. This makes "The Reason Why" the highest debuting album of the band's career. Meanwhile, Little Big Town scored their fifth career CMA nomination for Vocal Group of the Year, and their eighth overall CMA nod. The band is facing Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, The Band Perry, and Zac Brown Band for the Vocal Group honor. Noting the band's two career highlights, singer Karen Fairchild says, quote, "This will be a week we never forget and we owe that to the incredible fans, country radio and our new label Capitol Records." Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman adds, quote, "We are so blessed to have our album debut at the top of the charts, and to have news of this nomination in the same week is just amazing." The 44th annual CMA Awards will be presented in a ceremony on ABC November 12th.Little Big Town continues to hit the road with a date today at the New York State Fair. They'll rejoin Sugarland's "The Incredible Machine Tour" on Friday in State College, Pennsylvania.
